The SEC rejecting both @BitwiseInvest and @Grayscale’s $GBTC spot #Bitcoin ETF applications is not at all surprising because it follows the same precedent that other asset mgrs have endured.

Suing the SEC isn’t likely to succeed, here’s a thread 🧵on why this is the case Since last year. SEC Chairman Gensler has said that he wants digital and crypto asset exchanges to register with the regulator. This is because he feels there aren’t sufficient investor protections when it comes to this emerging asset class.
