We in Merched Cymru have long campaigned for children to have access to high quality, factually accurate, age appropriate RSE. The resources apparently in use in some parts of Wales, with children as young as 9 or 10, do not meet those essential criteria. Image Schools are often desperate for resources to support work with RSE; but this booklet produced by a social enterprise, is inappropriate, factually inaccurate and should not be in use in schools in Wales @AddysgEducation @PrifWeinidog.

Victor Madrigal Borloz praised the publication of @WelshGovernment 's skewed and ideological LGBTQ+ Action Plan as ‘an example of good practice in human rights policymaking.’ This was the plan that was developed by a small group of gender identity activists, handpicked by Stonewall and chaired by a Labour Party member who regularly used her social media accounts to attack and slur any women who disagreed that men could not become women.

Rydym yn gwneud cwyn ffurfiol i'r Comisiynydd Safonau am ymateb gwarthus @PrifWeinidog i @LauraJ4SWEast

Roedd ei ddiystyriad crac o’i phryderon fel "shrill" yn amlwg yn gamwahaniaethol. Mae'r sarhad hwn wedi'i gadw ar gyfer menywod y mae dynion yn dymuno tawelu neu anwybyddu. Mae'n ystrydeb rhywiaethol nad oes ganddo le yn y Senedd. Roeddem wedi tybio ei fod bellach yn rhan o hanes.

We are making a formal complaint to the Standards Commissioner about @PrifWeinidog's disgraceful response to @LauraJ4SWEast His angry dismissal of her concerns as ‘shrill’ was clearly discriminatory. This insult is reserved exclusively for women who men wish to silence or ignore. It is a sexist trope that has no place in the Senedd, and which we had assumed was now a part of history.

So @hannahblythyn Deputy Minister for Social Partnership, has given an update on the Welsh Government's LGBTQ+ Action Plan today.

Just to note, the responses to the plan's consultation still haven't been published 🤷‍♀️ The plan is due in the autumn but the Deputy Minister has not been idle. We can expect new guidance on trans inclusion for schools soon and the Deputy Minister is keen to stress that "...Welsh Government has not endorsed any third party guidance in this area."

Domestic abuse and sexual violence are endemic in our society and the lock-down has exacerbated the problem. The UK saw a rise of 49% in the number of calls to domestic abuse services and the number of deaths trebled in 2020 compared to 2019 figures. 1/10 There was already a serious shortfall in refuge spaces: six families are turned away for every four who are offered a place.
