In honor of Amber's appeal, here is her op-ed in its entirety. This is not defamation. The verdict was a miscarriage of justice that stole away the First Amendment rights of a survivor and made others question whether or not it is safe to speak out. #IStandWithAmberHeard I was exposed to abuse at a very young age. I knew certain things early on, without ever having to be told. I knew that men have the power— physically, socially and financially— and that a lot of institutions support that arrangement.
