I am reposting this THREAD in light of the - understandable - concerns about reporting on yesterday’s stabbing in Sydney.
If you want call out bad journalism there are a number of ways to do it, but via social media is not that effective. 1/7
Media outlets only have to respond to OFFICIAL complaints. It takes time & effort - but if media outlets don’t get complaints they can claim “we got no complaints”.
Start with the news outlet directly, with details about specific concerns. 2/7

The Israel - Hamas conflict is one filled with misinformation, disinformation and outright lies.
Journalists have been killed and injured in the violence. It is devastating to watch from afar, but we are also seeing tensions locally.
