@Web3foundation submitted an on-chain ref to grant @kusamanetwork 10M DOT (1% genesis supply), reinforcing Kusama’s role as a proving ground for decentralized innovation. In 2019, one percent of genesis DOT tokens were promised for use by Kusama Network.

Web3 Foundation seeks to fulfill this commitment.

JAM is a protocol combining elements of both Polkadot and Ethereum. It is a prospective path to replace the Relay Chain with a more modular, minimalistic design.

1/ Many centralized blockchains and so-called ‘Web3’ companies have failed due to closed-door decisions regarding network operations, and users' capital has disappeared due to stakeholder involvement in blockchain evolution. These issues can’t happen with Polkadot OpenGov. 2/ Polkadot OpenGov is currently active on Polkadot’s canary network, @kusamanetwork, before a proposal to roll it out on Polkadot is submitted. If approved by Polkadot’s on-chain governance, Polkadot will be run by the community - without first-class citizens.
