They received a summer school presentation. Lots of field trips and enrichment. Developing leadership pipeline by using qualified staff as principals instead of APs. 25 kids will earn their diplomas 🛋️ SHM: excited to catch some students from 23 cohort and get them a diploma. Loves field trips. Recommendation add Norfolk state to field trip list. Sawyer thanks her for her hard work. He went to Fisher and saw the amazing work. Dixon just giving her the flowers thought leader 🛋️

Receive final engagement plan of Dreams for RPS 2.0. Added living room chats, alumni chats, REA conversations, locations in each board member district. Young proposes to approve. White - how many of the 10 dreams for RPS 1.0 goals did we accomplish this year? JK- not fully prepared and data still being gathered. After pandemic all divisions had setbacks. Setting new baselines. White- since we don’t have data what will be different since we’ll have less?

Woke up to a research challenge from Mike D.

Holding up data to justify racist statements doesn’t make it OK to hold racist beliefs. Data ignores the systemic white supremacy that was put in place to maintain the socioeconomic disparity so white people can maintain power. 1/10🧜🏻‍♀️ For example, here Mike “Dinesh D’Souza” D blames the lack of black fathers pointing to data.

You can’t fix a problem by focusing on just outcomes. You get to solutions by addressing root cause.

What is the reason for the disparity of lacking a consistent father figure? 🧜🏻‍♀️

Last month we broke the news on twitter that @_PaperMoonSS had booked a show with Roger Stone. Since then, people have called for it to be cancelled and national media has covered the event.

I haven’t dug into the details yet but I am so grateful that #RVACouncil found compromise at some level and were able to reach an agreement on a budget that prioritized funding for @RPS_Schools and a number of other key initiatives. Thank you for finding a path forward. (1/?) 🧜🏻‍♀️ I know it wasn’t easy but I really appreciate that at the end of the day #RVACouncil pulled together and found a middle ground that maintained funding for several priorities. It ain’t perfect but neither was #RVAMayor’s proposal. (2/?) 🧜🏻‍♀️
