Some of us do not want to pick fights Elon.

But do so when given no morally defensible alternative.

There are even larger graveyards filled with COVID-19 dead from disinformation boosted on this platform.

You could put a dent in that, but you choose unwisely.

But it is not too late to change.

You don't have to be the villain.

Choose wisely.

@elonmusk @cb_doge See, a good start.

It is never too late to cease being the villain.

Now keep going.

You can do more.

/1 BOTH vaccines AND prior infection provide resistance to COVID-19 infection.

Vaccination MUCH safer than getting an infection though.

With this propaganda blurb, @CDCgov crawls into the gutter with Oklahoma's @SenatorLankford.

Deception for a good cause is not good.

(more) /2 @CDCgov might think deception for a good cause (getting people vaccinated) might be needed to counter deception for a bad cause (political opportunism by Oklahoma's Lankford inducing anti-vax behavior).

But neither government agencies nor Senators should deceive.

A thread regarding zero-fact type trolls that argue ambiguities to fool the weak minded on COVID (e.g., @GovStitt of Oklahoma).

Concentrating on only one such troll interaction right now, but may expand the thread later.

Here's the initial interaction, hope this thread helps. So, here's a machine analysis of the attacking account from botsentinel.com.

Obviously, there is concern with @fishinthisweek, with a 61% rating.

But, I can tell very quickly what disinformation this account spreads by hitting the green button.

Why long travel threads when so much to deal with in NOT @HealthyOklahoma.

I need to remember WHY I fight COVIDiots like @GovStitt and @GovRonDeSantis.

Spain and Portugal (where I travel later) among most vaccinated, life now lived safely and well.

Not so in Oklahoma (~50%). I am journaling my trip from 2 years ago, to remind myself and my Oklahoma friends what life used to be, and what we can return to if we just use common sense, and not throw all caution to the wind.

Live with the virus, like most of EU.

But don't ignore it, like UK, OK, FL...

Day 4 was so Oklahoma, and so not. Mountain pass vs cows/horses. A palace vs Rt 66 bar. Though really, Oklahoma has all, if you look hard (Ouachitas, Tulsa’s Philbrook). Hard to give these 19 miles justice in a thread on today’s busy OSDH data day, but I’ll have to make time! To clarify, this is in Spain on the Camino Madrid, one of the many #caminodesantiago routes. I am posting about my 2019 October/November trip on (exactly) a 2 year time delay.

I will pin my most recent report, unless something really important about Oklahoma and COVID pops up.

Day 3 from Spain 2019: Some of this “positioning hike” VERY similar to Wichita Mtns. in Oklahoma, but big (6000 ft+) mountains loom. Short day to just past Cercedilla, because next stretch is quite long without services as you go through a high pass. (More) This stretch of trail is the playground of Madrid, with lots of bikes and people walking (sometimes not so friendly) dogs. I was walking with purpose--I needed a good rest before the climb the next day, so not many pictures. (more)

Oklahoma Health Commissioner Frye's delusion we are not still in a pandemic is one of many reasons I am glad he is gone.

This statement by Frye is not going to age well.

But expected when @GovStitt appointed someone with no public health experience to be head of public health. Does this look like a nuisance endemic or "Mission Accomplished" to you Oklahoma and @HealthyOklahoma?

Over 1000 COVID dead last month, and still counting? Image

Not a good start for Oklahoma against Kansas?!

But maybe @GovStitt or his PR team can step in and fudge the statistics, to make Oklahoma look better. Don't worry, @GovStitt has the score at Kansas 5, Oklahoma 0. Reducing the stats like he did during much of the pandemic.

Oh wait, we lost on that?...

@SenatorLankford spreads dangerous COVID disinformation and misrepresents Israeli study.

Such encourages vaccination via variolation--by getting COVID with mortality rate ~1-2%--over a near zero mortality rate vaccine.

Suspension merited per @TwitterSupport policies.

(more) At best, natural immunity is ~1% more effective than 2-dose Pfizer vaccine from 6/1/21-8/14/21.*

Pfizer vaccine: 16024 of 16215 protected from symptomatic infection (~99%)

Prior infection: 16207 of 16215

Both ~100% effective against hospitalization and death during time.

After 1000+ corrected/hidden deaths from 2020 FINALLY added, Oklahoma is 11th worst in death rate, soon to be a #WorstTenState.

@GovStitt's fantasy count, in @HealthyOklahoma's Weekly Epidemiology Reports for over a year, is now a thing of the past.

Image This was the @GovStitt fantasy death count at the end of 2020, fraudulently depicting Oklahoma as a #TopTenState.

After the 1000+ hidden deaths from 2020 were counted, as well as other major "corrections," we now know Oklahoma is/was among the worst. Image

A partial timeline of what to do if you want to deceive your citizens, and kill tens of thousands from COVID and full hospitals.

Thanks to the efforts of many, Oklahoma has been much more transparent in its data than Florida.

But all can do better. This is what happens when you hide data from your citizens, ban mask mandates, and ban vaccine mandates.

Plus add about 25% to these counts to count excess deaths, undercounted COVID deaths, deaths from full hospitals, etc.

There is still a path for @joy4ok vs. @ChuckHoskin_Jr in the general, and it would immensely raise 2022 participation within the Five Nations and others.

And it would be refreshing to have a positive general campaign season, for once. IMO, in Oklahoma, a Conservative Democratic administration is equivalent to a Moderate (i.e., not insurrectionist) Republican administration.

All Oklahomans who are against the current path of the Oklahoma GQP, maybe should look at both angles.

Multiple exposures, whether by infection or by vaccine, are needed to develop adequate antibodies to stave off infection.

The United States has 700,000+ reasons why you should prefer the vaccine route vs. the infection route.

Plus people aren't getting #LongCOVID with vaccines. You don't get #LongCOVID with vaccine exposure because the vaccine active ingredient does not replicate and give you COVID.

If you "vaccinate" yourself by getting infected, virus replicates, and you can develop long term symptoms of COVID (way too common) or even die.

/1 @CarlyAtch and @GovStitt went to Tulsa ER on date #StittVirusDeathCount hit 10,000+ Oklahoma COVID deaths not because they cared about Oklahomans.

They did it to spread disinformation, set up excuse for the deaths, and most disgustingly,

To Astroturf for DeSantis.

(thread) /2 At the time of this post, the debunked @CarlyAtch tweet of Thursday had 76 retweets, the first being from the Press Secretary of Florida Governor DeSantis, Christina Pushaw.

Coordination, or coincidence?

I know @POTUS called the 1/6 Capitol attack an insurrection. I agree.

There is a federal statute for insurrection, and it could accomplish the same thing as an impeachment proceeding, a total ban on government service.

But this is not the only applicable statute.

(more) In 1940, the US was on the verge of entering WWII, against fascist (Germany, Italy), communist (Russia), and nationalist (Japan) regimes.

There was a fear that US residents would align with foreign powers.

In response, the Smith Act was passed.

@GovStitt did not share this report with us.

Wonder why....?

embed.documentcloud.org/documents/2043… This was the report that @GovStitt refused to post on the OSDH site, and it called for aggressive measures that Stitt did not implement.

Stitt hates Oklahomans.

#StittVirusDeathCount for Dec. 4:

OSDH (underreported): 1860
CDC (Death certificate count): 2251
Estimated actual Oklahoma COVID deaths: 3000-5000

Comments and update, including areas under investigation, follows.

(more) Comments: FOX 23 and KFOR have asked OSDH and Interim Commissioner Frye about discrepancies between death certificate data, considered the gold standard by CDC, and the number of deaths underreported by the State. No meaningful explanation was given. (more)

One explanation for COVID denialism. The #ETTD theory, "Everything Trump Touches Dies," creates a situation where people cling to clearly wrong policy/beliefs because the alternative, life without Trump, is not sustainable, because of criminal acts carried out under Trump. (more) 2/ Fraud is illegal in the United States, and appellate attorneys lying to courts and to citizens is just the most recent manifestation of fraud.
