To briefly touch the gamedev side of my mental crisis, I've been making games for ~10 years and sacrificed time, health and relationships with an idea to eventually build something that will allow me to "retire" and recover the losses... (1/2)
... today I am worrying about the rent while my peers are buying second houses. No savings. Nothing I made over the past few years came even close to earning money and as I get older this weight of being failure gets exponentially heavier. (2/2)

I made a list of tips for showcasing a game to help me (and maybe you) in the next #GameDev event! Follow the #thread! #indiedev1. Try to bring a second monitor or rent it from the event. Use it to show trailers or slideshows while someone is trying out the game or you work on fixing a crash on the main one. Boosts visibility if all you have is laptop too.
