Today is time for a new [THREAD] !
We'll dive into Electronic and Space warfare : radar jamming, electronic countermeasures, datalink, anti-satellite operations, SIGINT, satellites jamming...

- The new Battlefields: Electronics and Space📡-

It starts right here 👇🏻 These domains are usually very confidential, so sometimes I'll have to shorten some explanations, or not dive too much into details.
But, in theory, after this [THREAD], you'll be able to understand how cyberspace and space became part of today's battlefield.

Today, it's time for another🚀Space history [THREAD] !
Spy satellites operated by the CIA during the Cold War, planes used to catch capsules in flight, after they reentered the atmosphere, only declassified in 1995.

Curious ? Let's dive in the Corona Spy Satellites program ! 👇🏻 Year 1954, 3 years before Sputnik 1 becomes the first satellite to orbit the Earth, USAF starts the WS-117L spy satellites program, with first drawing being satellites carrying TV Cameras, broadcasting their data using radiowaves.
Main goal ? Spy the Soviet ICBMs.

Today, it's time for me to explain how the F-117 Nighthawk stealth works !
Welcome to a [THREAD] invisible to radars 👀
👇🏻
#AvGeek #Engineering Let's review the basic history of the aircraft. The F-117 was developed by Lockheed Martin in 1978, flew for the first time in 1981 and was revealed to the public in 1988.
This weird looking jet was the world’s first operational stealth aircraft.
The US Air Force flew 59 of them.

Let me make a super short [THREAD] about the little bump in this curve today !
Another useless yet interesting and surprising subject, bringing engineering and aerodynamics into your daily timeline ! 👾🛫#AvGeek First of all : WHAT is this chart ? It’s the curve representing the True Mach Number linked to the Indicated Mach Number in the T-38(N), taken from the NASA T-38(N) 2003 Flight Manual.
