Today, CBP published a 500+ page report of what amounts to a sham investigation of Border Patrol’s racist & violent abuse of Haitian migrants at Del Rio last September.

They didn’t interview a single Haitian migrants. Not 1 survivor of the abuse they supposedly investigate. 🧵 CBP’s sham investigation didn’t interview a single surv CBP Commissioner Chris Magnus said “efforts were made” to interview Haitian migrants. That is a bald-faced lie.

W/ @HaitianBridge & @jactioncenter, we represent 9 Haitian migrants who suffered mistreatment at Del Rio. The investigators were in communication w/ our legal team.

Today, we joined @ImmDef, @HaitianBridge, @EspacioMigrante, @AFSCSanDiego, @PuebloSF & @AlOtroLado_Org in Tijuana to provide urgently needed information to hundreds of people still in dangerous conditions waiting for their day of #WelcomeWithDignity to seek asylum in the US. The organizations in California on the US side of the border are fully prepared to safely #WelcomeWithDignity those who seek protection in the US from harm in their home countries and in Mexico.
