Russia is committing genocide by destroying Ukrainian energy system. They aim to leave millions of Ukrainians & the economy without power.

On this map you can see targets of their recent attacks, these are:
- thermal power plants
- hydropower plants
- gas storage facility Image Results of the attacks:
(1) Thermal power generation running on coal and gas is getting destroyed. Reconstruction will take years or (most likely) will never happen.
(2) Precious balancing hydro & thermal capacities are getting destroyed.
(3) No gas storage - no heating for Kyiv.

Acc. to the Head of Ukraine's @energoatom_ua, Russia's goal at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant is to disconnect the plant from Ukraine's power system and to connect it to the Russian one. However, this is extremely risky 👇 /1
biz.nv.ua/ukr/markets/ok… Since Aug 4th the situation at the power plant worsened. Rosatom handed to the NPP staff special programme aiming to connect the plant to Crimea.

The first step of the programme was disconnecting from Ukraine. Three power lines are already off, only one is still functioning. /2

This is the city where I was born. Right now. The explosions lasted for about 30 mins and according to locals were the most powerful ones so far during these three days. Now the city is silent again.

There are international scientists/nuclear experts who start theorising and saying that the danger of negative consequences from a strike at Chernobyl confinement is low.

I asked a Chernobyl power plant worker if this is true. Here is his response 👇 Image Special hello to all those experts who say there is no need to worry about #Chernobyl NPP during war time 👇

Smth to watch out for on Feb 24-26:
During these days Ukraine plans 1st stage of testing its power system (PS) in isolated mode from PSs of Russia & Belarus
The ultimate goal is integration of Ukraine's PS into that of Continental Europe @ENTSO_E in 2023
ubn.news/preparation-fo… Acc. to @khabatiuk, Ukraine's integration with ENTSO-E is a very painful process for Russia for ideological and geopolitical reasons.

So we may see serious developments and attacks from Russia in the energy sector during the coming weeks, including interruption of fuel supplies.
