Did u hear about the just arrested big ship that entered our oil field to load stolen crude oil?
It's so big they call that size 'super tanker' with the capacity to lift abt 3 million barrels (Pic illustrated).
The ship MV HEROIC IDUN came all the way from Scandinavia, Norway. The ship had 26 crew comprising 16 Indians, 8 Srilankans, a Polish and one Filipino. Upon query by our Navy, it evaded arrest in Nigeria, veered off & was pursued towards Sao Tome & Principe. Captain was so confident he even broadcasted a false piracy attack to mislead others.

Many would be wondering right away what's rocking the boat of Abdulmumin Jibrin?

Well, the outspoken former lawmaker is more or less a political renegade in the Kano APC. Why? What happened?

So, it all dates back to the 2019 election travails of Kano Gov. Ganduje... The Governor was faced with the tough challenge of testing his popularity in the polls after a leaked video of him stuffing dollars in his pockets, alleged as bribes from state contractors.

He faced Abba Yusuf of the PDP and the guber election was rescheduled by INEC...

I sew this thread with a very heavy heart but lemme save my tears till later. You can hardly finishing exploring the successes Abba has recorded against dare-devil crime kingpins. Let's highlight some... Henry Chibueze aka VAMPIRE

Henry had been on security watch list for over a decade prior to his arrest in May, 2015 in Imo State. His reign of terror even extends to neighbouring countries. This guy recruited some notorious ex-militants & Army deserters to form...

☺️ Rescued Flt Lt. Abayomi Dairo of NAF tells his story:

Thank you so much everybody. I’m indebted to Bro Ekele and bro Olagbende, and everyone on this platform. Before Sunday I had been having dreams where I saw myself fighting and evading enemies like real-time war... day in day out, like nightmares, so when my jet got shot with the explosives and my flight controls were destroyed and I had no choice than to eject, I just said ‘God, finally, here we go’…
As I was flanked by the bandits, I kept praying and I kept telling God...

Part II: Insecurity & Hike in Food Prices

I. The #EndSARS Protests

Harry E. Fosdick wrote, "I hate war... for the dictatorships it puts in the place of democracies, and for the starvation that stalks after it".
The protests were initially dubbed, "End to Police Brutality"... Image At least i joined at the inception with that same goal in mind but at last, there was far more to the rage - It was a subtle war declared & a civil coup against the ruling government.
The protests achieved one thing - The final demystification of our fragile security system...

Let's talk about the hike in food prices & other products & everything we need to understand about it as a people & nation.
It doesn't matter if we are willing to move or not, one thing is certain about life - It is not STATIC. The reality is here...

#THREAD Image 2. The recent hike in food prices is global.
With lots of angry citizens domiciled in our country, many tend to isolate our nation in challenges from the rest of the world. It can never be.
The pang from a price surge is global, only that ours may be predictable & avoidable... Image

Don’t compare today’s youths to Awolowo, Zik and Tafawa Balewa!

Alot of people say the likes of Chief Obafemi Awolowo, Nnamdi Azikiwe and Tafawa Balewa, Gowon, Obasanjo, Buhari, etc all ruled Nigeria when they were young, so why can’t this generation do the same? (THREAD) 2/

Infact, the comparison grew during the #EndSARS protests. Don’t get me wrong, none is against the younger generation ruling this country but in all fairness they lack everything those Babas had.
These men engaged the British not by physical protests but by intellectual ones.

Let's cut to the Cheese (Q&A):

1) Why is there increase in Electricity Tariff?

A - The cost of electricity in Nig is N53 per Kilowatt/hr & what Nigerians have been paying is N31, meaning, there is a subsidy of about N22. FG has spent $1.5billion this yr alone... 2) Why is there hike in Petrol?

A - With Brent crude futures hitting a high of $55.53, the landing cost of PMS has also soared. With partial deregulation in place, consumers wld feel it more.
To compare, the avg. price of fuel in the world for this period is N389.79...

5 Things Working for the CHADIAN ARMY that Nigeria Can Never Be Jelous Of:

1) They're the King of the Desert.
While you drafting soldiers from the SE or SW to the NE, the Chadians are born into the difficult terrains. Infact Boko Haram boys are just learning the ropes!... 2) Larger chunk of the Chadian national budget goes to Defense.
Hey, food or employment isn't their first priority o. Don't even talk about Pensioner's or ASUU's IPPIS lamentation... Get the damn AAs, Light-Tanks, RPGs, Attack Copters, Buffalo Vehicles etc!...

Let's gist - The Nig. Military granting freedom to BokoHaram "Captives": RIGHT OR WRONG?

So i've been doing some small small studies abt this. The first point is to accept that the country is at WAR, sadly most Nigerians find it hard to accept the magnitude of the insurgency... 2. Now at War, the UN Human Right Office of the High Commissioner has conventions as regards treatment of PoWs (Prisoners of War).
Non-adherence to this would put a red flag on the military by Int'l orgs. like Amnesty Int'l, TI, ICC etc. Nigeria had already been accused...
