New Year, new career, thought Alex, (like 18% of the 10.9% of UK job changers) and interviewed with us during January. He agreed to leave his existing employer after his notice period & started with us on 28th February. More pay, better working conditions, it was a promotion. 1/-
None of us could have predicted the impact of #COVID19 on our lives as we chased work & integrated Alex into our business and we didn't. Our main client, in the automotive industry, closed as @RishiSunak announced the #Furlough scheme to help us. OK, we wouldn't get a grant. 2/-

I put my classic suoercar up for sale 3 years ago. It's quite rare, 1 of 27 in the world and was in pretty good order at the time. I just felt like a change. I was a member of the club and we would all get together regularly to discuss issues, maintenance and share ideas. 1/-
It took quite a while to reach an agreement but eventually I had a buyer, not at the price I wanted, but despite the normal offers from Nigerian Princes it was probably reasonable. I talked it over with my mates but they thought I was being seen off & told me to ask for more. 2/-

1/- A short thread - Petition Fatigue
Remainers. We must overcome our petition fatigue or face losing the war in the final days. To reach this point we have raised and signed so many petitions to move the #Brexit media spotlight towards us that new ones might appear futile.
2/- From the despair of being ignored when we first started marching in London to the arrogance of government refusing to release impact assessments & legal advice, we have used these petitions to make our case. It worked. Look where we are now, No Brexit At All is within reach.
