So, let me get this straight, some pregnancy resource centers make it seem like they might provide abortions and Elizabeth Warren wants to defund all of them, but not Planned Parenthood, which has numerous crimes and claims against them. 🧵

So my #prolife friends who haven't read #TheHandmaidTale have a better idea about the slippery slope some people in the US think we're on after the #DobbsDecision, in the novel Serena Joy was a public figure who helped bring about a theocracy ruled by men, in which 1/5 homosexual and premarital sex were punishable by death, and women weren't allowed to read or write and couldn't have their own money so they'd be dependent on men. Because Serena and her husband haven't been able to have children, they are allowed a Handmaid, 2/5

Abortion activists are sharing photos of what appear to be blobs of tissue that they say are six-to-eight week #embryos. I have my doubts, as information on the internet indicates an #embryo is fairly developed by eight weeks. sciencephoto.com/media/493758/v… true, an embryo is quite tiny, but even at 7 weeks, a lot can already be seen

How many times have #prolife heard "no one is pro-abortion"? I wonder if the people in this thread will change their tune now that PP endorses the term?

There are so many ridiculous claims about what will happen if #RoeVsWade is overturned #RoeOverturned #RoeVWadeLeak. Treatment for miscarriage and ectopic pregnancies will not be criminalized or investigated. Those are not the same as abortion.🧵 None of the states have laws on the books that would prosecute a woman who has an abortion and the few times some radical has proposed such a law, it's been easily voted down.

A thread of quotes from the Investigative Panel Final Report resulting from the #CenterForMedicalProgress unedited videos from 2015. The full document can be found here lifelegaldefensefoundation.org/wp-content/upl… Congress formed a select panel to investigate a number of claims related to Planned Parenthood’s activities involving abortion and fetal tissue procurement.

It amazes me that there are actually people who refuse to believe that many abortion providers break the law, despite testimony like this or Live Action's investigations or the full Center for Medical Progress videos.

A lack of information is just as effective as a lack of education and this is illustrated in books such as The Handmaid's Tale and 1984. Currently, it is becoming more difficult to make informed decisions because of censorship in the press and on social media. When information is censored, people are in effect told what to think and the tools to make their own decisions are kept out of reach. Ironically, this tends to give rise to conspiracy theories and distrust of those doing the censoring. theintercept.com/2020/10/15/fac…

"No one has a right to be inside someone else's body!"

Unless you were raped, did the prenatal human just climb up into your uterus? No, it got there by your and your sex partner's actions. While he is just as responsible, he can't gestate the baby, 1/4 but he is legally responsible for the financial support of that child, which is why irresponsible men will pressure their partners to get an abortion. Anybody wilingly having sex ought to understand how reproduction works. 2/4

Many pro-choicers on Twitter seem to think that if a mother with an unplanned pregnancy is talked out of an abortion and doesn't choose to place her baby for adoption, all the needs of the baby should be provided for for 18 years, either by pro-lifers or the government. They'll complain that pro-lifers only provide some basic supplies and then are done helping. But that isn't generally true of pro-lifers, especially those who volunteer at and/or donate to pregnancy help centers. pregnancyhelpnews.com/pregnancy-help…
