Thread: Today’s signing of the Contract to begin work on the design, supply and installation of a new S-band Doppler Weather Radar is a significant activity for the Government of Jamaica at this time. Not only is it critical that we replace the 20yr old, almost obsolete system that once stood as the first Doppler radar installed in the English-speaking Caribbean, but it signals a resolve to meet the global challenges of weather & climate that face this & future generations.
