Can we spread this? It’s from a heartbroken nurse on her night shift. Our hospitals have become ‘refugee camps’ as she describes. Medics are having to give patients up. Our medical system has crumbled before our eyes. People are dying before our eyes. 2 nurses were made in charge of 120 confirmed cases. They’d not taken off their N95 for 8 hours: they’d not drunk a drop of water for as long. Sweat was flowing out of their surgical gowns like rivers. 60-70 patients were ordered to be outed and given up on to conserve resources.

Ok so taller and physically stronger/more athletic women are less likely to be subject to sexual assaults. A girl can only wish. I can’t even begin to unpack how problematic, presumptuous, mistaken and misogynistic Gao’s statement is. It’s so revealing of these CCP cadres’ mentality and intentions with women in their country and beyond, as well as their perception of women as men’s default non-equal.

Cute-sad scenes at the dock as who I think were Au Nok-hin and Tiffany Yuen made hearts with their hands and arms 🙆🏻‍♀️🙆🏻 to the audience. These guys are here to appeal their bail decisions today.
And crikey Fergus’ hair is LOOOONG... They’re aiming to finished within 2hrs and if any of their reps can’t finished their addresses their cases could be stood down.

1/17: Just covered this webinar discussion on stepping up to current-time China featuring a cross-continental panel (incl. a new member of the #MilkTeaAlliance). Here I'll be highlighting some key comments made by each speaker here:
(Link: ) 2/17: @ProfSuryaDeva: India commented on the HK situation which was uncharacteristic but welcome and reflective of its current conflict with China. However, it didn't join the 27 countries to condemn the HKNSL. Prof Deva explained that it mightn't want to overplay the tactic.

Ok I feel I must unearth this essay of mine back from April when I was still trying to lie low. Never have I thought it was actually a safer time than now. Here's me blasting the CCP with stats. (It's a <10 mins read rather than 22; don't read the bib) link.medium.com/czfPq46OK6 It was actually my first post on Twitter. Although I wrote it in April and the topic might not be as fresh, the content is still relevant and the statistical methodology is still applicable and 100% reproducible.
