JUST IN: The private home of the President of the United States was searched by the Justice Department on Friday, according to @POTUS Biden’s personal attorney. NEW: The consumer price index climbed 0.4% for the month. For the year, inflation was up 8.2% in September, down from the June peak of 9% but still on par with high peaks not seen since the 1980s. Before leaving the USA for European summits, @POTUS Biden is signing the bipartisan gun control/mental health bill passed Friday. But he says he’ll host an event July 11 to celebrate passage of the legislation. Before signing the bill, he recapped the last 30 years of attempts to pass new gun control measures and remembered the victims and families of those killed in recent mass shootings.
