The trick to getting data from companies is to find the intersection between your interests as a researcher and the interests of the organization. Many novice researchers assume that the company will surely be interested in their research question. Nope. Not likely. For all sorts of reasons that you can't anticipate if you think of the firm as an rational entity.

Have you ever calculated the sample size for an #abtest and come up with a sample size that is bigger than you can ever practically get?
