Proud of @OakDOT today. I personally struggled with what our approach should be, but Oakland's Slow Streets program hits the exact right notes: don't #bancars but do #slowstreets by discouraging thru traffic on residential streets. oaklandca.gov/projects/oakla… @OakDOT With this approach, we can be also realistic about limited staff resources during #COVID19 by lifting up existing adopted plans and by "installing" with some dropped off cones & A-frames.
