My parents immigrated from India in 1971 when I was 3 years old. We came to know of the dire shortage of #SouthAsian marrow donors when our nephew needed a bone marrow transplant to cure his leukemia. He was 7 y/o & while other patients had pages and pages of potential donors, he had none. We learned through #BeTheMatch.... (1/4) ...how easy it was to become a donor. We all got tested, but sadly no one in our extended family was a match for him. With the help of hundreds of folks who organized drives all around the country, we added thousands of new donors to the registry. Sadly, we couldn’t... (2/4)
