🧵Pakistan and Iran border conflict in the light of last night's attack in Panjgur:

1⃣ This is not the first time 🇮🇷 has violated Pakistan's borders. In 2013, Iran carried out a drone/missile attack in Kech, in 2016 an Iranian Drone was captured by Levies, and in 2017 PAF shot down an Iranian drone. There have been multiple instances when Iranian forces have entered 🇵🇰 territory to arrest and kill suspected militants.Image 2⃣ Pakistan's response to Iran's aggression is always muted because Pakistan can't afford to make an enemy out of Iran. That is why any Pulwama-style retaliation against Iran is unlikely.

Quaid-e-Azam asked Mirza to meet him in February 1947. Quaid told Mirza that they would not get Pakistan unless some serious trouble was created and the best place to do so was in NWFP with tribes. Quaid wanted Mirza to go into tribal territory and start a jehad.

GOB has allocated Rs4.5 billion for #Covid_19 response, which can be sufficient if spent wisely and honestly. The spending on building quarantine centers in the last few months had a lot of irregularities. 1/7 The health budget has been increased to Rs31 bn, which includes procuring an air ambulance for 2.5 bn. This is again a questionable move because it hints that GOB prefers airlifting serious patients to Karachi and not develop quality hospitals in #Quetta. 2/7
