when izuku was first born, the gleaming egg that katsuki would— later hatch from was already hot to the touch. a barrage of superstitions is then projected onto the heir’s dragon egg. it will be a fire dragon! a hot-tempered one! big and mighty! fit for an heir!

katsuki would happen upon a sleeping izuku on the sofa in the dorm’s communal area sometimes, post-war.

there’s a blanket, but it’s covering more of the floor than izuku’s body, and after a moment of hesitation katsuki grabs it, tries to drape it— over izuku’s shoulder. but the second izuku feels the blanket move, he shoots up, eyes wide and unseeing. it’s almost like he’s possessed as he grabs katsuki’s arm, twisting painfully, little zips of green lightning sparking from his fingertips and it HURTS. katsuki hisses,

Katsuki is a masked assassin. Izuku is his quartermaster and the only person in the UA syndicate who hasn’t seen his face.
