Accounting for mode differences in the measurement properties indicates people who took the phone assessment look worse. Questions re domain differences and also difference in extremes, not just means. Alden looked at raw test scores by mode and didn't see much major. @ManlyEpic asks what are the predictors of big mode effects eg age education. Ron Spiro adds note that some domains just cannot be assessed via phone.

MELODEM aims to enhance the rigor of research on Alzheimer's Disease and other causes of dementia via identifying methods problems, sharing best practices, and prompting methodological innovation. Our 2015 guidelines paper outlined common challenges in dementia research. MELODEM guideline princip 1: Clarify the question. Is it causal or predictive? ID the population.
