@haaretzcom The flaw Yoffie's argument is the idea that Israel's "plan" has any chance of success, or ever did. One even wonders if it was a plan or simply revenge. I am not a kid, having recently turned 80. And I am conflicted.
@haaretzcom ... I firmly believe that nothing in Israel's horrible treatment of Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza justifies Hamas' brutal attack on October 7. Some bold response was needed. But how many decades will it take for Israel to cease to be a pariah among the nations....

Nd it's behaving that way. Issuing ruling after ruling based on false notions of "history and traditions," which have no basis in our jurisprudence, while ignoring the tradition of giving weight to precedent, the historical basis of our law.
