Using Claude Code for knowledge work / office work?

Now that a couple founder friends are using this, feels worth sharing.

It's heavily inspired by @every's Compound Engineering & Jesse's Superpowers - they build critical workflow tools into Claude Code. But they're mostly for coding, not emails, making startup decisions, doing research, etc.

So I made a Claude plugin: /CoworkPowers

It's a set of 20+ skills that get called as needed in four discrete phases:
Research → Work → Review → Compound

Then it self-learns so it gets better over time.

1/Image It boils down to four skills you mostly do in order:

/workflow-research - a set of agents designed to ask good clarifying questions, search academic best practices, grab context from all your places, and load the proper learnings from past sessions

/workflow-work applies learning automatically and does the work needed

/workflow-review - a set of 5 parallel agents looking at clarity, devils advocate, etc

/workflow-compound - extracts lessons from your session for the future so it gets faster & better w time. Uses context best practices for storing lots of data.

I worked with my kids for a couple days and built a card game using ChatGPT, Midjourney and some other AI tools. One of a couple AI side projects I did over the holiday break.

Here’s how: My kids and I love drafting card games (Dominion, Star Realms, Ascension) but each have flaws we wanted to fix.

ChatGPT got us quickly brainstorming on themes from medieval fantasy to 20s mafia. Then we used Claude + Fermat to test iterations of ideas on cards & mechanics.

1/ I was bearish on crypto + games for years. I was wrong, and have been chatting with my game dev friends about why for a few months. Welcome to the great upside down of game dev, it's fascinating. 👇 #thread 2/ Game devs bring up 3 main issues with NFTs in games:
A. feels like a money grab vs creatively interesting,
B. powerful items in NFT games will be expensive, which makes it pay-to-win,
C. if instead, items are cosmetic, then it's a collecting game unrelated to the core fun.

This week I’ve had at least half dozen conversations w/ startup founders excited to be back in the office.

Only, now they are basically alone in there, and it feels like a vacant shell of the energy it used to have. I expect huge employee churn is about to come.👇1/8 #blog An office is nothing w/o the creative energy of others, and the people that value that energy will simply go looking for a startup that has a better in-office work environment. 2/8

Had a gut-wrenching conversation with a founder last week, who broke the news to me that they are having to lay off a key senior executive, likely cutting off some product lines, and then pretty deep layoffs. ##blog# They missed last year, and it’s clear there are changes needed, but it’s just really tough. Good people are going to lose jobs, the founder is letting go of friends and colleagues.
