Is this the last release of 5th Edition before the '24 refresh?

Irony: when the #starwars franchise was lacking new content, an rpg swooped in and capitalized, yet now the franchise is flushed with content and the rpg is nowhere to be found. It could be such a great on-ramp if they tried. Oh well.

One of the best 4e things, which sadly 5e discarded, was allowing PCs to make checks to see what they knew of the monsters. Players know a medusa’s own reflection will harm her, but do the PCs? How can they? Maybe they do know. Make a check. #dnd 4e even gave you the info to narrate based on what the Pc rolled.

Going to read the adventures now. Alright, finished the first adventure, Salted Legacy. It’s the type of adventure DMs may have to nudge players to participate in because the premise isn’t a “traditional” type of adventure. PCs need to investigate the source of, and help mediate a dispute between merchants.

Lets do a twitter flip through for a different type of product. A twitter unboxing of the new #dnd product “D&D Campaign Case: Creatures”. A set of tokens to use in lieu of minis at the table for your games. This type of product is near and dear to my heart. I love tokens. My #dnd blogging took off back in the 4e days because I wrote a tutorial (still on my site) on making your own tokens.

One thing that "Fizban's" does that is most interesting, is how it fundamentally changes the way the multiverse works in #dnd, and how it may be setting up for greater things. The book concretely makes it indisputable fact that dragons have various versions of themselves throughout the multiverse, so Bob the Dragon can exist in various worlds, much like the concept of variants in the MCU.

I ended up buying a mac mini with the new m1 chip, and a 27" 4k monitor from LG. Really happy with the setup so far.... thankful for icloud, all my stuff (mostly) was backed up, and I had an external drive with the bulk of my really important stuff. I'm back to normal for now. Need to download all the software I had on the imac, but that shouldn't be a problem. The native speakers on this thing suck, so I connected a bose portable speaker to it, and I had to order a webcam as well.

I slayed a dragon and found this sitting atop its treasure hoard. Tonight at some point we shall explore it together with a flip through review of Fizban’s Treasury of Dragons! #dnd As always, it’ll be a first-look where I look at its contents for the first tine along with you. This one interests me for two reasons:

1. The obvious Dragonalance tie

2. @aquelajames is the lead designer and I am a fan.

Tobias Beckett got this really cool ship, The Rampart, in one issue of a comic, & never been featured again or given a model no.

So I'll do it. It's a YT-WH61, a rare concept ship Corellian Freighter that made its way out of the factory. There are just a few of these out there. The heavy gunnery and large sensor array created a need for a second cockpit, where these systems are controlled.

I’ve done this before, but why not do it again. I saw them come up today in a group post. Wanna look at the 1991 TSR #dnd trading cards. I love these things. Obviously not gonna go through the whole set. 😂
