We are sharing our pre-print which sets out to ask: Q1) how do individual cells within the nose and throat respond to SARS-CoV-2? Q2) do these initial interactions reflect #COVID19 severity? Q3) which cells are infected by and produce #SARSCoV2? biorxiv.org/cgi/content/ab… (n/) This work was only possible through the ongoing support of our friends @shaleklab, pre-pandemic planning together with @bhhorwitz, and a fantastic collaboration with new colleagues @ummcnews in Sarah Glover’s group

1) We are sharing our manuscript identifying that the SARS-CoV-2 receptor ACE2 is an interferon stimulated gene in human upper airway epithelial cells. Results from an amazing team effort: papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers.cf… (n/16) 2) A few weeks ago, as soon as the receptor for SARS-CoV-2 virus (ACE2) and key protease (TMPRSS2) were confirmed, we and @shaleklab started to look through our data sets in collaboration with the @humancellatlas @discovAIR_HCA.
