There was a platoon of the Nigerian Army with sophisticated weapons, elite men of the Nigeria Police Force, Officers of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence, and armed officers of the Nigerian Correctional Service, on ground during the time of the attack. 
This has been a challenge in Lagos especially with a plethora of skyscrapers, and a nightmare to fire-fighters. This will be a thing of the past now. 
Permit me to do a brief appraisal of the importance of Lagos to us as a people. Lagos is not just a city in Nigeria, it is the symbol of the black race and the city most representative of our people. It is the city wholly built by the labour, intellect and capacity of Africans. 
It is therefore a huge shock & surprise that our leader & pillar in the struggle to build a just, humane & progressive society in Nigeria has returned to his maker; never again to be part of those patriotic efforts to make Nigeria very great and leader in the African renaissance.
I was a dashing young man with long hair and ideological fire burning in my soul. I had been caught in the throes of the ideological fervour of the time. I left The Polytechnic Ibadan fired with idealism and was prepared to change the world.
That you have all come from far and near to be part of this occasion, considering the risk of traveling, mixing and public gathering in this era, shows the high regard you have for her. #OnMeritByEhuriah
Women deserve to be adored & honoured, not bruised & battered. Though it is not a settled science, probably due to patriarchal influence than to inexactitude of science, but it is somewhat established that violent crimes against women have deep roots in psychiatric disorder. 
The programme is an empowerment scheme that complements government’s efforts at reforming inmates at the correctional centres and equipping them with life sustaining skills that will make them better member of the society.
I share in the pain and anxiety that his testing positive might have brought to his family, friends, colleagues and well-wishers. 
There is practically no one who has not had to wail & mourn the passage of a loved one, an acquaintance, associate or someone that one considered very important. I have had to write tributes to mourn and celebrate people very dear to me & are simply unforgettable & irreplaceable.
