My good people of Osun,
Good day to you all.
Another electoral cycle has rolled by and we are now in that season again in Osun. We should thank God for the democratic right to participate in the electoral process of electing our leaders.
As you all know, this is a two staged process. The first is intra-party, meaning that our party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), will democratically nominate its candidate. The second stage, inter-party, will take place in a state-wide election sometime in July, God willing.

To permanently curb the complaints of difficulty in obtaining Passports from the NIS, today, I held a meeting with the Leadership of the Nigeria Immigration Service (@nigimmigration) and all Passport Control Officers in Nigeria and Immigration Attachés around the world.
It has become imperative that we review our operations and rejig our system, in order to be able to offer excellent services to our clients. We need to review a system from time to time to see if it helps best to serve and realise the objectives.

Early today, Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwoolu (@jidesanwoolu), represented by his Deputy, Dr. Femi Hamzat commissioned a DG-54 Aerial Platform Firefighting Truck.
The Truck has 54 metres height capacity and will reach the 18th floor of high-rise buildings.
This has been a challenge in Lagos especially with a plethora of skyscrapers, and a nightmare to fire-fighters. This will be a thing of the past now.

Permit me to do a brief appraisal of the importance of Lagos to us as a people. Lagos is not just a city in Nigeria, it is the symbol of the black race and the city most representative of our people. It is the city wholly built by the labour, intellect and capacity of Africans.

MALLAM BALARABE MUSA: THE END OF AN ERA
The news of the passage of Mallam Abdulkadir Balarabe Musa caught me totally unaware. I was with the son, Kassim, until 2000hrs of yesterday, November 10, 2020. There was no hint of sickness or death.
It is therefore a huge shock & surprise that our leader & pillar in the struggle to build a just, humane & progressive society in Nigeria has returned to his maker; never again to be part of those patriotic efforts to make Nigeria very great and leader in the African renaissance.

Remarkably, you have given our leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the best support any wife can give her husband. It would not have been possible for Asiwaju to be as successful without a supportive and efficient wife that you are.

Women deserve to be adored & honoured, not bruised & battered. Though it is not a settled science, probably due to patriarchal influence than to inexactitude of science, but it is somewhat established that violent crimes against women have deep roots in psychiatric disorder.
