We need a third party. It requires experienced organizers.

Troll a candidate to run on a party ticket that doesn't exist, and supporters might reject the candidate.

I've worked with great activist groups who want to launch third parties. Here are things we've discussed:

1/8 1. Learn the laws of each state for establishing a party. In some states, the requirements vary by county. Know fundraising laws in your state and follow them.

2. Organize in each state and network. File ALL required state and federal registrations and reports.

Some are demanding that Trump sign the budget bill containing the paltry $600 survival benefit and then later sign the $2000 standalone bill slated for a floor vote on December 28.

They're surrendering a critical bargaining chip.

1/6

thehill.com/homenews/sunda… It ignores that McConnell's willingness to put the $2000 standalone bill to a vote isn't guaranteed. And Senate Republicans agree with him.

Did Dems learn nothing when Mitch blocked the HEROES Act earlier this year? It appears so.

The Michigan Board of Canvassers today cut public comment from 3 minutes to 1 minute, after allowing friends of the board to use up much of the public comment time.

The following is my full statement regarding #Michigancertification of the 2020 vote.

1/9
The citizens of the State of Michigan - as well as citizens throughout this nation - have long fought to defend their right to vote. For better or for worse, the drafters of the US Constitution reserved the power over voting rights to the states.

The DNC rejected both #MedicareForAll bills currently pending before the House and Senate, respectively.

Instead, it insists on a "public option", for which no sitting congressperson has written or sponsored a bill.

Wonder why?

politico.com/news/2020/08/2… The 2020 DNC Platform says:

"The public option . . . will be administered by CMS, not private companies; and will cover all primary care without any co-payments and control costs for other treatments . . . ."

The DNC asks progressives for "unity" to defeat Donald Trump. Low voter turnout could ensure a second Trump term and GOP control of the Senate.

If Democrats are serious about a Biden "win" and Senate takeover, there's a simple solution . . . .

(thread below)

1/5 Two companion Medicare For All bills are pending in the House and Senate, each with a long list of co-sponsors.

Medicare For All (HR1384) easily can pass in the House today.

The Intercept and American Prospect are running articles to save Cristina Tzintzun Ramirez's campaign today, in the aftermath of her volunteers defaming Sema Hernandez through phonebanking and texts to Sema's endorsers.

Here's a story about Cristina they won't run.

1/6
Her 2 non-profits - Jolt Initiative & Jolt Action - are required by law to operate independently of one another.

Jolt Action, a 501c4, endorses federal candidates and accepts donations for unlimited lobbying, actions which are prohibited for a 501c3 like Jolt Initiative.

Warren's plan will adversely impact states which expanded Medicaid under the ACA and lower-wage employees. It will increase income disparity, disproportionately impact historically-responsible employers, and increase unemployment of low-wage workers.

1/6
Under Warren's plan, current states' contributions to Medicaid will be redirected back to the federal government to help fund the M4A program. This disproportionately impacts states which expanded Medicaid coverage under the ACA.

Why are Rep. Adam Schiff (D) and Sen. Martha McSally (R) introducing more "crime bills" to fight terrorism, when White Nationalists and other domestic terrorists can be prosecuted under existing law?

justsecurity.org/65998/domestic… Rep. Schiff's HR4192 targets anyone who "obstructs, delays, or affects interstate or foreign commerce" or uses "any facility of interstate or foreign commerce" to "influence the policy of a government" (ANY government) and creates a "risk" to a person or property.

Joe Biden's culture and racial bias, as well as his elitism, render him unfit for public office.

Last night, Biden said, "[t]he reason we're the country we are is because we've been able to cherry pick from the best of every culture . . . ."

1/4 This is similar to his 2007 statement about presidential candidate Obama.

"I mean, you've got the first sort of mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy."
