THREAD: The US healthcare system takes a lot of shit, much of it deserved. But consider this:

700,000 people have died of #COVID19 in the US

What would that number be without the doctors, nurses & others battling the virus in ICUs + EDs?

#MedTwitter Think about it for a minute. Leave the politics out of it this one time. Without the heroic efforts of the front line, it's clear that the toll would have been horrific.
