#Thread: Though it's important to shed light on the ongoing humanitarian crisis in #Yemen, you could read this entire @reuters article (and most articles written about Yemen) and not know why this boy is starving or who is responsible for these conditions: reuters.com/article/us-yem… The boy travelled from Al-Jawf to Sana'a because al-Jawf is among "high intensity battlefronts" & is the target of repeated civilian airstrikes. acleddata.com/2019/06/18/yem…

#Thread: The Saudi-UAE war on #Yemen began 5 years ago with full support from Obama/Biden. Together, they manufactured the world's worst humanitarian crisis.

Obama never apologized & Biden only came out against the war in 2019.

This is what they did to Yemenis from 2015-2016: First, let's establish that this is, and always had been, a US war on #Yemen.

On day 1, the Obama White House issued this statement declaring "logistical & intelligence support" to Saudi: obamawhitehouse.archives.gov/the-press-offi…

Their authorization of military intervention was unconstitutional

Those of you contemplating voting for Elizabeth Warren, please read this.

In 2015, I was living in Massachusetts & Warren was my senator. The military intervention began in Yemen, my country of birth, & was wreaking havoc on civilians. But this wasn't just Saudi's war. President Obama had bypassed Congress – an unconstitutional act – to support the Saudis in their war against #Yemen. He was providing weapons, mid-air refueling, training, target support, and anything else the Saudi-UAE coalition needed to bomb and starve Yemen.
