Major General John Schofield (1831-1906) is one of the most respected US military commanders you’ve never heard of.

Schofield’s legendary command instruction at West Point will serve you for a lifetime – in your family, business, career, organization or team.

* THREAD * Image John McAllister Schofield was born in upstate New York in 1831. The Schofields moved to Illinois when John was 12. He was educated in public schools, worked on the family farm and surveyed land in northern Wisconsin before spending a year as a schoolteacher back in Illinois. Image

Things you don't need to create Twitter content:

• books
• inspiration
• motivation
• experience
• my $199.95 content creation product

You don't even need to subscribe to my emails (link below).

Just follow these simple instructions.

THREAD 🧵

startupdaemon.net 1. Create a list of Twitter accounts.

Ideally, they should be in your niche, but don't have to.

Ideally, you should have at least a dozen but no more than a couple dozen.

Don't worry about it. You'll see what works for you as you go.

Just make a decent list to start.

I know Americans are tired of pointless wars and MIC profits. We must think and understand. Yes, Putin's War in Ukraine is possible because of US strategic and diplomatic ineptitude. But unlike Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya etc., we truly have no better choice now but to defeat Putin. The way we win is not intervention. NATO in Ukraine is the worst way to do this, politically and strategically. That's the best way Putin can win, and every indication from the WH so far is consistent with the view that they get this. All we need to do is arm and supply Ukraine.

Learn to own your decisions and you will be more successful in whatever it is you do.

That's not about explaining yourself, or anything outside of yourself, your conditions and circumstances.

In your own subjectivity, owning the decision must meet two fundamental benchmarks. 1. Owning the decision takes a clear break from considering and thinking and deciding – into action.

From that point on, it's a given. It's all about execution, there's no room for doubt and second-guessing.

You may adjust course because feedback, but that's a NEW decision.

POWER in COMMUNICATION

To have power, you must learn to project power.

It sounds like putting the cart before the horse, but it is not.

The simplest way to project power in communication is to simplify. You must cultivate discipline if you want to have power.

Simplicity is self-discipline.

Practice the discipline of simplicity in thought and speech.

To prepare, journal.

Why do people always have to cycle through the Five Stages of Grieving?

What makes this cycle such a powerful pattern?

How do we become free from it?

THREAD

👇👇👇 1. Denial

We have constructed in our heads a narrative about how things should be. We have identified with that story and attached our ego to it.

When the story is revealed as false, we are compelled to deny the revelation in order ot assert our ego as valid.

Dokkōdō, loosely translated as "The Way of Walking Alone", is the last work of Miyamoto Musashi.

He composed it on occasion of giving away his possessions in preparation for death in 1645. Musashi dedicated the 21 principles of Dokkōdō as a last gift to his favorite student – an ultimate Integration of Zen and the Way of the Warrior.

The title itself is suggestive like a Zen koan. It hints that the path of Liberation is one you can tread only on your own.

22 TIME-TESTED TECHNIQUES TO MAKE *GOOD* WRITING A CONSISTENT HABIT

What I have to share here is harsh.

Have no illusions about it.

The writing gods don’t care for prayers – they want sacrifice. I didn’t come up with all these techniques yesterday. Many of them come from world-class writers and credit goes to them. But they all get at the same thing – conditioning your mind to produce great writing on command.

And they WORK when you DO the work.

Viral technologies being developed around the world can kill the coronavirus and help open more indoor spaces.

Unlike imaginary vaccines, these technologies may actually work and don't require totalitarian policies.

Let's take a look!

👇👇👇 Molecular-sized spikes of tiny antimicrobial agents can be added to desks, walls and other surfaces and rupture anything with a membrane that lands on them.

Pilot studies have shown such surfaces kill 95% of viruses and bacteria.

Discernment:

If you learn to tell the difference between having an option and an intuition to use the option, you will have the ability to make big gains for small marginal effort.

One is awareness that you can do something, the other is awareness that you indeed should do it. Extroverted Intuiting is the part of cognition that deals with connection, optionality and superposition.

It makes you aware of other people's intentions, of hidden options, of what is about to happen.

To know what's going to happen, and not be panicked or caught by surprise by the human and commercial toll, understand this. Coronavirus testing in the US is far behind what Italy did, yet the expectation is that results will be better because "best health care in the world." This is the next thing to be in denial about. First it was that the disease is seriously contagious. So there was no point "panicking people" (and devaluing the assets of the oligarchy). Now that the markets are tanked and the economy on ice, the agenda is to go back to business.

How did Taiwan prevent a #coronavirus outbreak and collapse?

The answers will surprise you.

BREAKING: The #coronavirus can travel twice as far as official "safe distance" and stay in air for 30 minutes

Authorities advise people to stay 1-2 metres apart, but researchers found that a bus passenger infected travellers sitting 4.5 metres away

scmp.com/news/china/sci… The scientists behind the research said their investigation also highlighted the importance of wearing face masks because of the length of time it can linger.

For example at around 37C (98F), the wuhan can survive for two to three days on glass, fabric, metal, plastic or paper.

What do we REALLY know about the Wuhan #coronavirus?

Let’s cut through the lies and disinformation, and quickly recap what we really know about the coronavirus from the doctors on the frontline and from medical research.

It's a lot more than you think.

/thread/ The current case fatality rate (CFR) for #coronavirus is 6%. For every 100 closed cases of coronavirus, six people have died globally.

That makes it 60x deadlier than the flu, which kills 0.1% of those diagnosed.

PROTECT YOURSELF FROM INFECTION with #coronavirus #COVID19

No matter where you live, there are probably asymptomatic carriers of the disease around you.

• Protect yourself.
• Protect your family.
• Protect your community.

Follow these steps to reduce the contagion risk. I am sending this now because by the time the “authorities” get it together, it will be too late. And they will do it incompetently anyway.

It already is too late, and containment is unlikely.

#COVID19 is 4-5x more virulent than the flu, with up to 300x the death rate.
