1/9 Make no mistake: these barbaric actions are a part of Trump's America.

Before leaving office, Trump's DHS cronies cut special deals with multiple states, including Texas, to continue their abhorrent anti-immigration policies.

#DemVoice1 #ONEV1 #FreshVoicesRise #wtpBLUE 2/9 Trump's DHS, 12 days before President Biden was sworn in, struck a “binding” deal with Texas agreeing to consult with the state for 180 days before making changes to immigration policy, effectively tying the hands of the new administration.

These are threads looking at the debacle that was the 2020 election and all the ways the Trump regime attempted to cheat, up to and including actual insurrection and a continuing Big Lie that has become the new core of the GQP. First up is a thread on the attack on the US Postal Service, when mail-in ballots became essential during a pandemic. This thread morphed into a general thread about Trumpian claims of voter fraud, and its efforts to change the outcome:

This hub is for threads focused on Trump's grifting, personal finances, and his consistent LIE of being a self-made man when in fact he's lied and cheated every step of the way, starting with the thread that began this section. I make GIFs, infographics, memes, videos, & maintain large threads fighting the horrors of the Trump regime & the GQP's insurrection; further links in thread.

1/5 There's been a new development in the case of Steve Carillo, a former US Air Force counter-terrorism expert turned Boogaloo Boi terrorist, who lead two ambushes last May where he murdered a deputy sheriff & a federal officer.

#DemCast #ONEV1 #wtpBLUE #DemVoice1 #Fresh 2/5 This is the same Steve Carillo, by the way, whom Mike Pence failed to mention during a gaslighting speech where he name-dropped one of Dave Patrick Underwood's victims and insinuated he was killed by leftists.

The thread above has more details. abc7news.com/david-patrick-…

1/32 Why did Donald Trump's lawyers send a cease-and-desist order to the GOP to stop using his name?

Because it is part of a long-running Trump scam to bleed the GOP dry for his personal gain. 2/ Note: this thread is focusing specifically on how Trump's treated the GOP as his personal piggy bank.

That's why I am leaving out stories about his emoluments violations & grifting the government itself, of which there are many. politico.com/newsletters/pl…

I do not know if I've mentioned this before, but this here is me. I do not get "seeing things in your head" despite being highly artistic and creative. I discovered I have this a while back also. Some folks doing a study wanted to speak with me about this. I still don't get this "seeing things in my head" business. They believed that if you were at a 0 like I am, you'd not be very creative, yet I am highly creative.

1/4 The Trump regime has a history of releasing reports & new policies on days timed to insult its enemies, from striking down a Michelle Obama accomplishment on her birthday to their latest, a smear against the black civil rights movement on MLK day. 2/4 The 1776 Commission was a blatantly racist Trump White House response to the award-winning NYT 1619 Project, which took a hard look at the depths to which racism and slavery has been entangled with American history. nytimes.com/interactive/20…

I've been recording what happened on Jan. 6th, the insurrection or sedition or coup or riot or whatever you call it, on other threads, but the more I see, the more I realize it is its own monster, and must be looked at separately.

#TrumpInsurrection Image This began not on Jan. 6th, nor on Nov. 3rd or 7th, nor even the day of that fateful escalator descent. Trump has had a history of reveling in violence for decades, the most infamous case for a long time being his bile against the Central Park 5.

1/7 Heroism can come in many forms: USCP Officer Eugene Goodman was the officer in the infamous video being chased up flights of stairs as he PURPOSELY lead rioters away from the then-open Senate chamber door before it was locked. 2/7 "His name is USCP Officer Eugene Goodman. Remember his name. He almost certainly saved lives on Wednesday."

The coronavirus pandemic has been every bit as devastating to black communities as police brutality, carrying away hundreds of young black men before their time due to a system that ages and sickens them prematurely.

propublica.org/article/how-co… "They were pillars of their communities and families, and they are not replaceable. To understand why COVID-19 killed so many young Black men, you need to know the legend of John Henry."

1/5 After months of being stalled by Mitch McConnell's Senate wall, Congress was prepared to pass a new COVID-19 relief bill that only offered $600 per person, far less than Democrats had wanted, but at least something. usatoday.com/story/money/20… 2/5 Trump then threw a wrench in the works, demanding that they raise the sum to $2,000, perhaps expecting Democrats to automatically oppose it on the basis that the idea came from him.

But it's what they wanted all along, so they embraced instantly. cnbc.com/2020/12/22/tru…

1/ Though presidential pardons & commutations have often generated some controversy, none have done so more than Trump's, who while issuing the fewest since William McKinley has delivered the most corrupt by a wide margin.

It's no surprise he's been using them as bribes. Image 2/ William McKinley delivered just 162 pardons and 50 commutations.

Obama gave 212 and 1715 respectively.

Trump? 27 pardons and 11 commutations. Period.

1/11 Lindsey Graham may have finally gone a step too far in his sycophancy to Trump.

Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger has claimed Lindsey Graham pressured him to throw out any ballots he could to help Trump steal a win from Biden in Georgia.

jacksonprogress-argus.com/cnn/cnn_politi… 2/11 The shocking news broke Sunday, after current Georgia GOP Senators Loeffler and Perdue had been pressuring Raffensperger to resign and/or hold a recount on behalf of Trump, desperate to stay in his favor ahead of the upcoming January runoffs. politico.com/news/2020/11/0…

1/3 So a long time back I made the mistake of filling out one of the Trump campaign's surveys to say how much I hated what he was doing, and ever since they've flooded my box with their scams begging for money. 2/3 It didn't much bother me, I got to see what sort of lies and idiocies they sold, but after Trump lost I figured to finally stop it. I found the well-hidden "unsubscribe link"... and discovered it doesn't work. It takes you to a survey that then takes you to WinRed.

1/17 Just taking a moment to document the final, sad ending for this all, a moment so pathetically tragic that comedy writers the world over are heartbroken that they could never write something as funny as what reality has given us.

2/17 The best part is that they went ahead with it rather than re-locate or cancel.
