With @MForstater's epic news, I'm in the mood to declare a win.

Last summer, my org (vol sec) hosted a Pride panel for staff featuring someone who I strongly objected to them platforming (think 'reframing trauma'). I made my views clear the senior mgmt, but it went ahead.
1/ It did lead to a couple of conversations with our EDI lead, which were frank but respectful.
As a consequence, I was allowed to preview the 'just about to be signed off' Trans Inclusion Policy, a tweak of Unison's model policy. /2

There is little excuse for this ignorance in light of the #CassReview. I can only assume they're complicit.
And when the true horror is revealed, we will hold these people accountable. More politicians not doing their job. Let's be clear, they're advocating AGAINST taking the time to get this right. They've fallen for word-games. They're refusing to look at the evidence, lest it jolts them from their belief.
They haven't read the #CassReview.
