Highlights: A closer look at Vovchansk, where Russian forces have inched forward roughly one kilometre over the course of 2025, pushing into the southern, bombed-out ruins of the town.

Elements of the Russian 128th Motor Rifle Brigade reportedly raised a flag in the southern sector of Vovchansk earlier this week, though nearby infantry were subsequently hit by a Ukrainian airstrike amid the rubble.

Elsewhere, Russian troops have been sighted on the northeastern edge of Pokrovsk, with additional forces seen unloading by vehicle in the south. Ukrainian presence in the area appears limited to aerial reconnaissance and drone activity.

On the long-range strike front, Ukrainian forces conducted several deep strikes overnight last night, notably hitting a drone storage site at Donetsk Airport, triggering a large secondary explosion. Further afield, footage shows strikes on the Simferopol oil depot in Crimea, destroying two storage tanks, and another targeting the Kostroma GRES power plant near Volgorechensk in Kostroma Oblast.

1/ Russian soldiers are being handcuffed to each other, pepper-sprayed, and beaten to force them to go to the front lines. A soldier says that ex-POWs and badly wounded men on crutches are being forced to fight. "They're just throwing us in for meat," he says. ⬇️

2/ Speaking in a video recorded in the back of a Russian army truck, a soldier from the 114th Motorised Rifle Regiment (military unit 24776) has recorded an appeal for help. He speaks of the violence being used against the men, and shows how he is handcuffed to a comrade:

After reviewing the 4,000 #Benghazi emails from the CIA, the @HouseBenghazi Select Committee issued a new document request to the CIA on 4/28/15 for SameTime messages, emails, operational cables and intelligence reports to better understand CIA activities in #Benghazi. As with the 1st request for the "read-and-return" records, this request for documents was met with strong resistance from @JohnBrennan's CIA. It took another 2.5 months for the CIA to provide documents, but it was an incomplete production with many documents held back. One of the documents the CIA held back was a critical email it had shared with the House Intelligence Committee previously, so the only logical reason it would have been withheld from the House Benghazi Select Committee was that the CIA played politics with dead Americans. Because @JohnBrennan's CIA was withholding documents that were known to exist, the @HouseBenghazi Select Committee issued a subpoena to the CIA on 8/7/15. The 8/7/15 subpoena was for records including the unclassified #Benghazi CIA talking points, as well as SameTime messages, a more efficient communications platform than email used by CIA personnel during and in the immediate aftermath of the #Benghazi attacks. On 8/28/15, the CIA responded to the subpoena with additional documents, but still refused to send the SameTime messages because "doing so would have serious negative consequences on CIA's work." It is an extremely arrogant suggestion by @JohnBrennan's CIA that Congress is not entitled to staff communications, considering that, as set forth by the Constitution, Congress provides funding for and has oversight authority over the CIA. It was only after a 2nd subpoena on 1/20/16 and a threat to hold Brennan in contempt of Congress that his CIA finally relented and produced the SameTime messages and other records to the @HouseBenghazi Select Committee a staggering 11 months after their first request.
