#PortlandRally I was never much for protests or rallies. I get why folks want to confront these Nazis losers but it just plays into their plans. IMO best to just let the pathetic losers do their little rally. Non-violence is the only way to defeat these folks.
Trump wants violence. People who think they are helping deal with a fascist in the @WhiteHouse by giving him a pretext are misguided and IMO appear, whether wittingly or unwittingly, to be working for Trump. Go home folks. Register voters. It's much more constructive.
@WhiteHouse Remember, the GRU infiltrated Democratic Party groups in 2016.
@WhiteHouse Here is a fairly news focused feed on Periscope. pscp.tv/w/1kvJpOyjNvLG…
@WhiteHouse I personally don't think you can be a loyal American and not be against fascism. We fought a World War to defeat Fascism. That settled the issue IMO both morally and Constitutionally. But any groups that advocate violence do not advance that cause.
@WhiteHouse The fact that right wing group is leaving area could be because they know provocateurs in left wing group are about to commence violence. You folks don't have a clue who you're dealing with. Get away from anyone claiming to be #Antifa. All violence is bad. #PortlandProtest
@WhiteHouse Anyone who has studied the rise of Nazi party in Germany knows this playbook. Go home folks. Leave the Antifa there. Many are likely GRU or Trump backed fascists. Please don't get tricked. This is an old play. @PortlandPolice
@WhiteHouse @PortlandPolice Here is an image from my youth. We ended the Vietnam War and eventually forced Nixon to resign. Had we reverted to violence, Nixon would have never left office. I'm certain of that . Don't help the Fascists. Shun all domestic political violence. Antifa are not helping.
@WhiteHouse @PortlandPolice Sadly #Antifa is Trump's best friend. Violence helps him with the moderate base he needs to be re-elected. I understand why people express political frustration in such ways but it has never been successful in US as means to defeat this white supremacist evil.
It's that rare form of courage that you're willing to be beaten for a cause but not to fight for it. @repjohnlewis & the Civil Rights Movement of the 1960's had that special courage. IMO If #Palestinians adopted non-violence rather than #Hamas they'd have a state by now.
And thankfully, Portland is not Selma in the 60s. Looks like the very professional @PortlandPolice have things well in hand and are withdrawing some of their officers. On the 50th anniversary of Woodstock it's worth remembering a little peace can go a long way. 😎
