PLEASE read this and consider what I’m saying. If you find some truth here, please retweet. This is a CALL TO ACTION for all resisters

On the matter of impeachment:
-The House has the power to Impeach
-Only the Senate has the power to remove potus from office
-without removal from office, impeachment is a slap on the wrist
-assuming that trump will care about impeachment is questionable logic

-impeachment without removal from office will do NOTHING to stop trump’s destruction of our country
-impeachment proceedings take a LONG time
-The House started official impeachment proceedings a few weeks ago
-Nadler announced this
-Nancy Pelosi’s job is to oversee the House

-She knows what her Reps tell her about public support for impeachment
-If the entire country supported impeachment, all Reps would say so
-When you say that you call your Reps everyday or comment on how many of us support impeachment, you are assuming that Twitter is everyone

-If you listened to Nancy speak, you would hear her telling you that she needs more of a public outcry
-She isn’t talking about us
-When you say the Dems aren’t upholding their constitutional duties, you’re actually angry because they ARE
-they cannot remove him from office

-when you say you want “something said” about what Dems are doing to fight trump, you’re ignoring the speeches & tweets outlining over 100 Bills the House passed & McConnell blocked from Senate Vote
-You respond to these tweets telling Pelosi she’s a coward & is doing nothing

-The House Bills have covered healthcare, gun reform, LGBTQ rights, women’s repro freedom, election security, tax cuts, environmental protections, etc
-The House is working #ForthePeople
-If you choose not to see it because there is no magic impeachment button, that’s on you

-On the Watergate timeline, official proceedings had not yet begun
-Pelosi has stated that she wants trump in jail
-indictment is a definitive path to removal from office
-Complaints that the 25th Amendment hasn’t been invoked are misguided

-only Pence & trump’s cabinet have that power
-Pelosi said if Hillary were president, she would have retired by now
-the assertion that she is working to protect trump is unfounded & unfair
-while the GOP stands united behind a criminal, we are attacking each other & our leaders

-This course of action will fail
-So, where does that leave us?
What can we do to be proactive instead of Twitter backseat drivers?
I have a few suggestions. I’d love it if you’d add some to the list.

TO DO:
•Call your local & state Reps
Demand impeachment &indictment
•Then call your Senators
•Have the tough conversations wherever you go. Make the case for calling MOC
•Make postcards & carry them everywhere
-Include all local &federal MOC info & a short script

-Distribute them EVERYWHERE
-Don’t be shy. #RESIST
-Change tactics. Instead of attacking Dems, focus rancor on the GOP. They control Senate, judicial & executive
-Donate to Dem candidates
-Donate to ACLU, Planned Parenthood, SPLC, etc. They NEED funding

-Volunteer for candidates & non-profits fighting for our causes
-Attend protests
-Support each other
-Think twice before you leave a nasty comment
-Remember that we are in this together. That CANNOT change
As always, we are #StrongerTogether

I say all of this with love and care
Sincerely believing that we can pull together and focus our energy on defeating trump, not each other
This is a team of magnificent people
We don’t have to agree on everything
We do need to stand united
