The Equality Act is bipartisan legislation that will make clear that federal laws already prohibiting sex discrimination ALSO prohibit anti-LGBTQ discrimination! #DemDebate

We need to know: How do you intend to protect young #LGBTQ people from abuse and discrimination? Queer youth deserve to be safe at home, in foster care, at school, in juvenile justice systems, and anywhere else. They deserve a candidate who prioritizes their security. #DemDebate

How will you address the epidemic of violence against #LGBTQ people, particularly trans women of color? Violence rooted in transphobia, misogyny, & racism must be treated as both a moral crisis & criminal justice issue. We deserve a candidate willing to confront this. #DemDebate

Do you understand why it is essential for #LGBTQI people to have the ability to obtain IDs that accurately reflect who they are? It is important that our next President places a premium on defending the dignity and worth of every person in this country. #DemDebate

Will you stem the flow of dangerous judges being packed onto federal courts across the country? 1/3 of President Trump's judicial nominees have a history of anti-#LGBTQ bias. We need a president to nominate FAIR judges & #ProtectOurCourts! #DemDebate bit.ly/2QUDgTH

We need to know: Do you think health care providers should be able to assert religious or moral objections and turn away #LGBTQ and #HIV+ people?

Will you commit to reversing bans on military service for transgender people & people living with #HIV? We need a President who will put science ahead of stigma, common sense ahead of animus, & who respects those willing to serve. #DemDebate #TransMilitaryBan

(Side note: We just won an injunction in fighting the Air Force’s policy of discharging airmen living with #HIV. The case is proceeding to trial. We look forward to proving that military service members living with HIV are as fit to serve as anyone else.) bit.ly/2Rm1kOk

Recently, a federal court ordered the Pentagon to turn over withheld documents re: the #TransMilitaryBan – including its purported justifications for the policy. Our fight continues. bit.ly/2RiP9lp

.@SenWarren notes high prices of #HIV-related medications. Barriers on access to PrEP and other prescriptions, including financial and bias-related obstacles (like *cough* providers refusing to prescribe under the #DenialOfCare Rule *cough*), are DANGEROUS. #PrEPForAll #DemDebate

#DemDebate candidates are discussing racial justice, but we'd like to remind them that a platform on racial justice is not complete without a commitment to ending the rampant epidemic of violence against trans women of color.

Thank you @SenWarren for explicitly naming the violence that trans women of color are facing around the country! We can't dance around this. We need a candidate who will use all the tools at their disposal to stop it. #DemDebate

@SenWarren And that's a wrap on tonight's #DemDebate. We're disappointed that the candidates were not given an opportunity to speak on President Trump's assault on our judiciary. The unqualified judges that he has packed our federal courts with are appointed FOR LIFE. #CourtsMatter

@SenWarren Many of Trump's judicial nominees have been flat-out unfit to do the job. In fact, the only circuit court judges to be confirmed in 30 years after earning a "Not Qualified" rating from the @ABAesq are Trump nominees. #DemDebate #CourtsMatter

@SenWarren Here's why Trump's court picks matter:
➡️These (mostly white, younger, ideological) judges will be on federal courts for decades.
➡️Our cases will make their way into those courts.
➡️The fight for equality will, unfortunately, be adjudicated by Trump nominees. #DemDebate
