👋🏼 Hey Twitter. Like many of you, we have low expectations for the #SOTU2020 tonight, but we’re still tuning in for a live update from the current state of this administration (pictured).

The Trump-Pence Administration has repeatedly and consistently attacked the rights and humanity of LGBTQ people, immigrants, disabled people, and other marginalized groups.

It is exhausting. It is outraging. It is unacceptable. #SOTU2020

President Trump starts out speaking about "The Great American Comeback"

today we learned: our nation is Cher

#SOTU2020

"We are building the most prosperous and inclusive society."

Inclusive? Your administration has literally banned entry to this nation from 13 other nations, but go off. #SOTU2020

"Pro worker": Unless you're queer.

"Pro family": Unless you're an immigrant.

#SOTU2020

The Trump Administration: Unemployment rates are historically low!

Also the Trump Administration: Let's keep actively fighting in court to legally force #LGBTQ people out of their jobs. #SOTU2020

"7 million Americans have come off food stamps; 10 million people have been lifted off of welfare"

Quick reminder: Forcing hungry families to go without assistance is hardly something to brag about. #SOTU2020

Reminder: #LGBTQ people are more likely to use government assistance programs like SNAP and EBT to help meet their needs.

Pervasive discrimination still exists for many of us. Removing safety nets without addressing these harms only causes deeper harm.

Unlikely, when you:
❌Continue attacking affordable health care
❌Defund essential health programs that provide necessary care to people living with #HIV
❌Fight to allow doctors to deny care

Fact: Abortion is essential health care.

Fact: Efforts to limit access to abortion using this kind of scare-tactic language are usually incremental efforts towards an ultimate goal of ending Roe v. Wade. #SOTU

@nytimes Rush Limbaugh has terrorized, dehumanized, and fanned flames of animus towards #LGBTQ Americans and many other marginalized groups throughout his entire career.
