The night of September 19, 1961 would forever change the lives of Barney & Betty Hill.

Thinking their vacation was over, the couple would be enroute home from Canada

where they would involuntarily take the trip of their lifetime.

the highway back to Portsmouth was barren.

While Barney drove, Betty noticed a bright erratically moving star in the sky..

she convinced Barney to pull over for a better look..

An odd shape with flashing multi-coloured lights was revealed when Betty looked through a pair of binoculars toward the luminous object that seemed to be following them.

Barney had a hard time agreeing until he noticed its unusual movements around the sky.

While trying to out drive the mysterious craft,

It eventually caught up & began to hover 80 feet above their car.

(Barney described the craft to remind him of a huge pancake!)

Wanting to get a better view, Barney stepped out of his vehicle & examined the massive #UFO through their binoculars.

8-11 humanoid figures seemed to move around the craft,

except for 1 which was said to telepathically tell Barney:

"Stay where you are & keep looking."

"They're going to capture us!"

The first words out of Barneys mouth as he scrambled back to the car & stepped on the gas.

The spacecraft appeared above their car again as Barney attempted to drove away at a high speed.

then, a rhythmic series of beeping began to be heard.

A Vibration filled the couples bodies.

They began to experience an onset of an altered state of consciousness...

Until a second set of beeps were heard & they were snapped back in their right minds.

When they came to, they noticed they had traveled quite a distance in a short amount of time without having any recollection..

They eventually arrived home that morning around dawn.

Feelings of unease, torn clothing & watches which stopped working (& later found out will never work again),

was just some of the physical evidence left that night..

The emotional impact left on Barney & Betty Hill from those events were much much worse.
