It is safer to wait 18 to 24 months after last Cesarean section.
There is no 100% natural fool proof method of gender selection (boy or girl).

Emotional and physical stress can shut down the brain axis that controls menses.
Make sure you rule out pregnancy first though.
It's also a cause of missed period.
