Good morning. Today could be another potential #DecisionDay.

We're waiting to see if the Supreme Court will release a decision on the Title VII LGBTQ cases, ruling whether or not your employer can fire you over your sexual orientation or gender identity.

Additionally there are ALSO SCOTUS decisions pending on abortion and DACA.

We'll be monitoring the release of opinions beginning at 10AM, and we'll keep you updated.

Supreme Court just ruled that firing someone for being LGBTQ is a VIOLATION of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act!

"The answer is clear. An employer who fires an individual for being homosexual or transgender fires that person for traits or actions it would not have questioned in members of a different sex."

6-3 ruling by Gorsuch, with Roberts joining the opinion.

"In Title VII, Congress adopted broad language making it illegal for an employer to rely on an employee’s sex when deciding to fire that employee."

They nailed it. The argument was crystal clear all along.

"We do not hesitate to recognize today a necessary consequence of that legislative choice: An employer who fires an individual merely for being gay or transgender defies the law."
