The traditional ritual of 'Aksharabhyasa' performed at Sharadamba Temple, considered to be sacred & fulfilling. Kids in d age of 2-5 are given a plate of rice on which they pray to Goddess Saraswati and Guru Acharya for good knowledge and education.

ತುಂಗಾತೀರದ ಗುರು ಪರಂಪರೆಯ ಭವ್ಯ ನಾಡು ಶೃಂಗೇರಿ. ಸಹ್ಯಾದ್ರಿ ಋಷ್ಯಶೃಂಗಗಿರಿ. ಹಾವೊಂದು ಹೆಡೆ ಬಿಚ್ಚಿ ಕಪ್ಪೆಯೊಂದಕ್ಕೆ ಬಿಸಿಲಿನ ರಕ್ಷಣೆ ನೀಡುವ ದೃಶ್ಯ ಕಂಡ ಆಚಾರ್ಯರು, ಶತ್ರುಗಳು ಮಿತ್ರರಾಗಿ ಸಹಕಾರಕ್ಕೆ ನಿಂತ ಈ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಭೂತಪೂರ್ವವಾದ ಶಕ್ತಿ ಅರಿತು ಪವಿತ್ರ ಪುಣ್ಯ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರ ಮಾಡಿದರೆಂದು ಇತಿಹಾಸ.
