A few comments:
1/ US position of 4 yrs ago was neutral. Since then, China's been peacefully negotiating with concerned countries and agreements are about to be reached. The #USA stirring of old embers of dispute is certainly a disservice to peace and stability of the #Southsea
2/ USA is not a signing party to the UNCLOS (UN Convention on the Law of the Sea). It's now coercing China to be bound by UNCLOS, a treaty it doesn't recognize itself.
3/ Arbitration predicates on both parties agreeing to solve the dispute by the private tribunal paid by both parties. The arbitration was unilaterally demanded and paid by the Philippines under the military threat of the US marine. It has no legal validity.
4/ China has been a vast empire for 3000 years. The CPC government is the custodian of the historical heritage of the #SouthChinaSea Territories dating back 2000 yrs. Such territory was officially declared and publicized in 1948 with no international dispute.
5/ the US supported the #Zionists' claim over #Palestine, why shouldn't they support China's claim over South China Sea? China's claims are certainly more legitimate. Jews left 2000 yrs ago. China's claims have been continuous and expeditions frequent in the last 2000 years.
6/ Does the US obey any fair-play, logic, consistency or principle in its foreign policy or it's haphazard interest oriented with the aim to create conflicts and chaos to suit itself? What's the so called US led rule based international order?

美国就是个搅屎棍
China is within its rights on #SCS which was calm till US pivot to China in 2012 which incited tension. Who's the rogue? UK forcefully ocuppied Diego Garcia in 1965 and evicted 5000 residents to make way for a US military base ruled illegal by the UN.
