/8 #COVID19 key concerns in 🇨🇦: Today, in lieu of a daily in-person update to the media, a Saturday statement has been issued. You can read in full here: canada.ca/en/public-heal…
/8 Despite the widespread acceptance and everyday practice of #publichealth measures – #handwashing, #physicaldistancing + wearing a mask in crowded places - it is possible that you or somebody you know will test positive for #COVID19.
/8 This is nothing to be ashamed about. We are #StrongerTogether & the best way to get through this is to support each other & recognize that nobody wants to be sick or wants to spread the virus in their community. canada.ca/en/public-heal…
/8 Be aware of #COVID19 symptoms. The most common include: fever, cough, & shortness of breath, fatigue, loss of appetite & loss of smell or taste. Less common symptoms include, but are not limited to, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting & muscle aches. canada.ca/en/public-heal…
/8 Also, people without symptoms may be infected with the virus. If you think you have been exposed to the virus, stay home and contact local #publichealth for advice on next steps, including when and how to seek testing.
/8 If you have symptoms, stay home & away from others, even if you’re only mildly ill. Contact local #publichealth to determine how to proceed to get tested. People who get tested are protecting those around them.
/8 People who test positive for #COVID19 are helping prevent further spread by staying home in isolation & helping local #publichealth officials to trace contacts.
/8 Friends, families, and employers and employees alike need to support each other so we can continue to track #COVID19 transmission and keep it under control. #StoptheStigma
