Despite claiming to be "guided entirely by the science”, it’s now clear that crucial decisions did not follow the science.

Warnings from WHO, @IndependentSage, public health experts & even SAGE members were ignored.

In July SAGE was sidelined altogether.

Was it SAGE's advice to:

* transfer people from hospitals to care homes without testing?

* not to screen flight arrivals?

* not to ban big gatherings?

* to ignore modelling that warned of huge fatalities?

Back in June, newly published SAGE minutes revealed that the govt KNEW on 25 February - a full month before lockdown - that without measures, #COVID19 would result in tens of thousands of lives & overwhelm the NHS ICU capacity

And yet they did nothing!

In early March, the govt had all the information it needed to show lockdown measures were essential

But at a crucial SAGE meeting on 5 March - the first attended by #DominicCummings - the advice from previous meetings was inexplicably ignored. #COVID19

Except it isn’t inexplicable

As @sarahkendzior writes on Trump who’s part of the plan:
