State legislatures usually control redistricting. If Trump succeeds in getting a 6:3 SCOTUS and Roe v. Wade really is repealed, guess who controls abortion laws at the state level? Want Medicaid expansion (assuming #ACA even survives)? Guess who votes on that in most states? 3/
As @Teri_Kanefield notes, democracy only works when everyone (or at least MOST people) actually participate. This is true at the federal, state AND local levels.
