Of the 1,940 new cases that were found in the past 24 hours:
- 1,788 were found via tests at medical facilities
- 142 via proactive tests
- 10 in quarantine facilities

The 3rd wave had led to 40,121 cases and 151 deaths between April 1 and May 2.
Currently, there are 29,481 patients who are being treated at hospitals. Of that, 954 are in critical condition including 270 on ventilators.

Of the 1,930 local cases, the highest numbers by province were 539 in Bangkok, followed by 276 in Nonthaburi, 145 in Samut Prakan, 89 in Chonburi, 62 in Pathum Thani, 55 in Chiang Mai and 52 in Samut Sakhon.

The number of infected people that are waiting for a hospital bed at home in Bangkok and surrounding provinces is 143 people. Of that, 6 are in critical condition.
CCSA said the waiting time for an available bed is now within 48 hours.
