“A Tedious Explanation of #Cannabis #Oilpens” - PART TWO starts here! You can find PART ONE here:

We are continuing our look into #hybrid #oilpen #systems:

16. Jupiter Research: I can’t quite figure out where @we_are_jupiter ends and @CCELLofficial begins. These two companies are very inter-related. The company founders helped develop the #CCell heating technology. They then brought over #CCell products to the US beginning in 2016.

They also create 510 carts, and offer several pod-based systems. There’s the #Liquid #Que - their first pod system that uses a magnetic snap-in pod with ceramic heating. There’s the #Jupiter #Liquid9 with a unique 9-sided design and pod with a built in “septum”.

Both of these systems are quite old and I was unable to find any info on empty pods or pre-filled pods for either of these systems. Liquid9 was said to be far superior to standard 510 carts however.

There are the #Luster and #Uno systems - both of which look #suspiciously #similar to the #Pax #Era and other vapes we’ve already talked about.

Key differences between these two systems include the fact that Luster offers 1mL pods while Uno is limited to 0.5mL. The Uno carts are similar in design to the #CCell #Dart carts (also distributed by Jupiter).

The Uno carts however have a different mouthpiece, and unlike Dart, empty Uno and Luster pods are available for purchase (in Canada!), although these pods are single-use only.

What’s also interesting is that you can buy pre-filled pods for both the Uno and Luster systems from a limited set of retailers. Therefore, both of these systems offer the best of both worlds - the flexibility of DIY filling and the availability of pre-filled product.

Bison Extracts was the only company I could find that appeared to offer pre-filled pods for the Uno system.

Pre-filled Luster pods appear to be available exclusively within the Ohio medical market, sold by #Klutch #Cannabis and #Butterfly #Effect (part of the #GrowOhio family of products).

15. Supherb: Here we have a #different type of #hybrid system from @supherbofficial (No - not @SUPHERBS1, although they use the same discount codes :)

Supherb at first glance looks like a 510 #cart. Then you realize only the thread is 510 compatible. The cart - the “Sub Ohm Tank”, is wider and shorter vs a 510. It features an adjustable ring that controls airflow, and a dual-coil design for better cooling and vapor production.

The airflow feature is designed to adjust the amount of air vs smoke you’re inhaling. If you have a bigger lung capacity, use bigger airflow. I can see this can help control the “density” of your hits, but I don’t think this is the same as dose control on the #PAX and #Dosist.

I’ve heard that #Supherb “hits like a bong” due to the airflow and overall design. While the battery is compatible with regular 510 carts, Supherb carts will NOT work with standard 510 batteries - hence why it is a closed system, but with some compatibility - hence #hybrid.

Supherb supplies their own #carts for their system, and all 10 of em are listed on their website. Supherb is also starting to open their system up to other vendors, such as #YourHighness, which create a pair of #hybrid carts.

14. V-Fire/Cora/Trupods/PlugPlay: The last hybrid “system” is one marketed as four separate systems, yet the pods are the same. I believe (?) this originated from the ALD Amaze (@amazevapor) e-juice system. From this, I found 4 separately marketed systems from 4 companies.

The first one I’ll bring up here is the Cora by @VapeDynamics. The Cora battery looks #suspiciously #similar to the #Pax #Era, yet this system is designed for refill-ability, with the top of the pod twisting off for full access.

VapeDynamics also sells the Nox2, which is their “next generation” refillable vape pods, but these seem more complicated to refill? This system claims to offer enhanced airflow and “outdraw” technology, although most 510 batteries offer the same capabilities.

Next up is the “V-Fire” system from @ClawCannabis, which offers a curated set of 54 pods all from their own extracts. I do like the fact that you can easily access info on all of the V-Fire-compatible pods right from the website: clawcannabis.com/portfolio/v-fi….

There’s also the TruStik/TruPods, sold by @Trulieve. This system is available exclusively for FL medical patients. There’s a lot of negative feedback for this system - mainly due to its high cost.

It was challenging to find more info on the “TruPods”, but I did find a page here that lists at least 5 pods for sale, including one that is a #collab with Canadian producer @PeaceNaturals. Still if its only 5 pods, thats not a whole lot.

Lastly, there is the PlugPlay (@plugplayallday) - the most popular out of these different brands. “Plug” is the name for the pods, while “Play” is the name for the battery. They claim to offer 350+ puffs per battery charge, and 16 “Plugs” on their site.

Now, unofficially it appears that all of these systems are compatible with each other:

There are also empty pods available for sale, such as this one for the “V-Fire” system. So you’re getting the best of both worlds - pre-filled pods (Claw V-Fire, TruStik & PlugPlay) and the Cora refillable pods, which have a twist off mechanism to refill.
