Bharat is not a Dharamshala.The priority must be to save Indic communities. It has to & must look out for itself first. It can't endanger its already precarious demographic balance to please the gallery & win empty humanitarian accolades. It can provide material aid & that's all.

Here's is an interesting exchange from Shri Chandraprakash Dwivedi's Chanakya on accommodating refugees citing "athithi devo bhava" because the problem is they won't be merely athithis for long -

Americans & Pakistanis have created this mess in Afghanistan. It is for them to clean it up,not Bharat.Demographic inversion is already a reality in several parts of Bharat & the Indian State shudnt worsen this situation. Only Indic communities are an exception to this position.

The Taliban isn't an airdropped group from the heavens. It has come from within d Afghan society with support from Pakistan and *elsewhere*.So don't let perpetually bleeding hearts guilt you into endangering Bharat & our future. Bharat's priority is its civilizational interest.

They will start candle light marches at Jantar Mantar,get tailor made op-eds published in Indian and foreign portals,and resort to all sorts of mushy exhortations. It is for us to be clear about our priorities & interests.Nobel Peace Prizes & praise from d West count for nothing.

The scope of d CAA must not be allowed to be expanded to include any other group other than d groups already mentioned. US every other nation that sent its troops to fight the US's war can and must open its doors for Afghan refugees.Bharat must protect Indic communities.Period.

If the Indian State still doesn't draw the right lessons from Kashmir, Bengal, Assam, Kerala, Lakshwadeep, and the Rohingya concentration in various parts of Bharat, it means the State has effectively chosen to hit the self-destruct button & has abandoned Indic communities.

What applies to Assam in the context of preserving its cultural identity equally applies to Bharat's civilisational identity as a country, especially in the context of influx of a group that could alter Bharat’s precarious demographic balance.

I have zero interest in entertaining arguments like "but there is a masterstroke at play here which mere mortals can't understand".My response to them is- take a hike.Bharat is not even a middling power today, so let it not operate under grandiose delusions of a moral obligation.

Bharat’s only moral & civilisational obligation is to provide sanctuary to Indic communities,and material humanitarian aid to non-Indic communities.There is no need to turn the country into Lajpat Nagar. It's time that ppl put civilisational interest over any other interest.

All those Islamic Republics, Emirates and Kingdoms which recognised the Taliban Government of 1996, and those who are currently open to recognising a Taliban-led Afghan Government should open their doors to non-Indic Afghan refugees. Bharat need not and should not.

Bharat must formally ask the Organisation of Islamic Countries (OIC) to step in to address the refugee problem. After all, that organisation is most interested in looking out for the interests of the Ummah. Let it walk the talk and put its money where its mouth is.

If Bharat really wishes to become even a regional power, let alone superpower, it must stop pussy footing around these issues and understand the value and importance of realpolitik. Smaller countries do better than Bharat in this regard, and that's seriously unfortunate.

It's not enough to casually throw words like "civilisation-state".It *must* translate to concrete vision and policy-making.For me,the Afghan situation is certainly a test of the Indian State's commitment to preserving its civilisational interest under the current dispensation.

A country which cannot get hard-nosed about its civilizational interests and existential priorities shouldn't labour under delusions of becoming a Vishwaguru. Clarity in vision and a sense of purpose are the first steps to getting a seat at the high-table of global powers.

To be clear,I am not running down the aspiration of becoming a Vishwaguru.I welcome it.But my limited point is,if u r serious about it,demonstrate it by squaring up to realities.Consolidation of d Indic position at all levels is d only way to give effect to d Vishwaguru vision.

The most important lesson to be drawn on #PartitionHorrorsRemembranceDay is #NeverAgain should we encourage or contribute to those factors and conditions which led to the Partition and loss of sacred civilisational space and genocide of Indic communities.

On d eve of d 74th #IndependenceDay,I genuinely believe tht Bharat has turned d corner since 2014 on quite a few important fronts.But d most important front where a lot more needs to b done is d civilisational front.I hope V get our act together bfore it's too late.Vande Mataram.
